Whether seen from afar or up close, nature's beauty has a way of captivating our senses. And sometimes, we feel compelled to capture those impressions on canvas, translating what we see into what we feel. This painting reflects such a moment — when the artist connects deeply with the "big picture."
It portrays a seascape view of Le Morne Brabant and the beach in front of the Le Morne resort, located in the southwestern part of Mauritius. I’ve spent countless hours in this area, drawn by its stunning coral reef and the mesmerizing sea. What inspired this painting was the way the mountain’s lush greenery reflected on the water’s surface — a quiet, powerful moment of connection with the landscape. This remarkable site has also been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, further affirming its cultural and natural significance.
